Love of Carl and her family were always her number 1 priority. Joan's
mothering is fondly remembered for having eyes in the back of her head
and earning the name "RADAR" from her teenagers. She also cooked
delicious family meals every evening complete with main dishes, side dishes

sport they tried. Her friends and family remember her carefree laughter
over inside jokes and silly TV shows or movies such as The Pink Panther,
Woody Allen and The Benny Hill Show. Joan was always an avid reader of
historical novels, mysteries, and satires making her the Catoosa librarian's
favorite customer. Carl and Joan were huge baseball fans. She loved the
Atlanta Braves while Carl was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan which resulted
in constant playful sarcasm between the two. Joan had an outstanding career
