Steve Douglas Degginger passed away on Nov. 30, 2012 at the age of 62. Steve was born February 11, 1950 in Joplin, MO to William and Nancy Degginger who preceded him in death.
Steve worked many years as an auto mechanic until his health began to fail. Steve dearly loved to read, especially Science Fiction. He enjoyed using the computer to talk and chat with people all over the world. He was an amazing poet, and wrote many of his own poetry works. Steve loved a good joke, especially a dirty one but saved a few clean ones for the older folks. Steve could even knit and he knitted items for many in the family that they will always cherish. Steve loved to garden and when he no longer could garden himself, he would solicit help from Bonnie and give her explicit instruction on where to plant what. Even though he became very limited physically, Steve was an Intellectual Adventurer and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie; his three children, Alisha, Christopher and Karena; four grandchildren, Lonna, Douglas, Jeffrey, and Steven; two great grandchildren, Cody and Makia; three siblings, Patricia Barker, Bob Degginger and Alan Degginger and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family.
A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Cremation Society Chapel, 2103 E. 3rd Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
