Charles K. O’Neal died peacefully at home on June 16, 2013 after a short battle with cancer.
Charles was born on January 1, 1924 in Blackwell, OK to Earl E. and Ruth Knight O’Neal. He was the grandson of L.E. Knight, an original ‘89er.
He served in the US Army in the 103rd Division in WW II. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma A&M. He worked for many years as a sales engineer in the heating and air conditioning industry.
He was an avid fisherman. He and his wife, Betty made many lifelong friends and had many wonderful adventures traveling in their motor home. He and his wife, Betty Oliver O’Neal celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 12th.
He is also survived by: a daughter, Melissa Nicholson (Steve) of Zephyrhills, FL and a son, Charles O. O’Neal of Broken Arrow; two granddaughters, Jennifer Rosenberg and Kimberly Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson and Christian Rosenberg.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Riggins. Per his request, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations made be made to Grace Hospice. www.gracehospice.com
