Obituary

Pauline (Paula) Ann Quinn, 52, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma since July, 1996 entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 12, 2013. Paula was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 1, 1961, to John Paul Martinez and Annayola Mabel Sandoval. Paula graduated from the United States Air Force Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB) in San Antonio, Texas, in 1979. After that she went to Technical Training School at Keesler AFB, Mississippi for paralegal training. Upon graduation she was assigned to the Judge Advocate General (JAG) office at Barksdale AFB. In the summer of 1981, she met her husband-to-be at the base bowling alley where she worked part time as a short order cook on the grill. That meal was to be the first of many for her husband-to-be. Paula wed Bill J. Quinn of Meridian, Mississippi, at the Base Chapel on Aug. 14, 1982. Paula served 4 years of honorable service and separated in 1983. After that she started a new career with the United States Postal Service (USPS) and became a member of the USAF Reserve. Paula served honorably and received a medical retirement at the rank of MSGT in 1995 due to complications from the disease Lupus. In 1996 Paula transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be with her husband who took a job with American Airlines. Before leaving Louisiana, Paula received an Associates Degree from Louisiana Tech University in Business Administration on February 28, 1991. Although she never had children, Paula was the proud parent of three different sets of dogs. Roscoe and Boomer, Levi and Nikki, and Danielle and Eli. Along with Danielle and Eli, she adopted Chopper and L'il Nikki from Phil Martin, who passed away several years ago. Last but not least is Ms. Phoebe who wandered into our yard and our lives 3 years ago. Paula gave 110% to her postal job and to life. One day after her 52nd birthday, Paula suffered an inner cranial aneurysm. She briefly regained consciousness several times to hear that she was loved so much. She put up a good fight, but ultimately God had bigger and better plans for her. She will be missed dearly.
