Faithful man of God and longtime Grove Oklahoma resident Ralph E Davis journeyed home to Heaven on Friday, March 5 th, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Chelsea Oklahoma, Ralph grew up in the Chelsea/Alluwe area, married Donna Jean (Boley) Davis February 18, 1960 and was an oil field worker for Phillip Milam Oil Company. After moving the family to Kansas City, Kansas, Ralph went to work for the Ford Motor Company retiring after thirty two and a half years of service. Ralph was a long standing member and leader in the Nazarene church after being saved at the church in Kansas City. God used him in a variety of areas as he drove a bus, led Sunday school classes, was the youth leader, and coached the basketball team. Ralph encouraged other men in Christ as he led the men's prayer breakfasts in Kansas City and also at Grove Nazarene after his retirement. At Grove he taught the adult Sunday school class for 20 years and was also a board member. Willing to serve, he helped complete construction on the church and mowed the lawn. Outside of church, Ralph was dedicated to helping friends and neighbors by mowing lawns or transporting them to various appointments. Ralph love to immerse himself in God's word and could often be found studying his Bible. Avid fishermen, hunter, and golfer he enjoyed being outdoors. Ralph was preceded in death by twin infant sons, Dwight Avery and Dwayne Anthony, daughter Janet Elaine, parents Harold and Irene (Burchett) Davis, sister Melva (Davis) Davis, and bothers Joe and Leroy Davis. Ralph is survived by his spouse, Donna Davis of the home, sister, Wanda (Davis) Payton of Pryor Oklahoma, sons Stephen and wife Carol of Dewey, Oklahoma and Michael and wife Jamie of Orlando, Florida. Grand children include Klynn, Geoffrey, Kelsey, and Lottie Davis, Amber (Davis) Hailings and one great-grandchild Emberlynn Whitman. Memorial service to be held, 1pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Faith Church of Grove 63401 E 290 Road on Highway 10 on the East side of Grove.
