Sandra Loretta Marshall Bowens died July 5, 2016 at the age of 64 from complications related to surgery. She is survived by one child: Tyre Lamar Bowens, sisters LaDawn and Ruth Ann; Brothers Kenneth, Robert, Ullysa, Michael Marshall and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. From a young age, Sandi was always a high energy person who loved plants, she worked hours on her flowers. While still in high school, she won several awards for public speaking. She was a life-long student. She never stop learning and enjoyed taking classes about new adventures and ideas. She earned her bachelor degree at OSU in Biological Science, she went on to earn her masters. She met Harold Bowens and enter into marriage, one child Tyre was born to this union. She was employed by the United States Postal Service, where she enjoyed the opportunities it offered. She received many awards and recognition for her service. In the last years of her life, she slowed down a bit as a string of illnesses found her in and out of hospitalized care. During this time she expanded her knowledge of the word. She enjoyed bible study and church services. Her love for God was shown by the love she had for others. She serviced her fellowman by acts of kindness, words of encouragement and a bright never ending smile. Her Services will be held Monday, July 11, 2016 at Living Stone Teaching Church in Coweta, Oklahoma, and her ashes will be spread in a private ceremony with her love ones.
