Stephen Earl Schneider passed away on May 13, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at age 69. He was born in Waco, Texas, on December 30, 1955, the eldest son of Henry Oswald Schneider and Willa Jean (Mitchell) Schneider. Stephen spent part of his early childhood in Frankfurt, Germany, where Henry was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. The family later settled in Enid, Oklahoma, where Stephen graduated from Pioneer High School in 1974. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics in 1978. From there, he enrolled in law school at the University of Texas at Austin and, after graduating, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he practiced law for nearly 25 years. Stephen eventually found a new calling and became an educator for Tulsa Public Schools. Inspired by his parents' careers in education and wanting to make a difference in the lives of young people and in the community, he spent 15 years as a middle school geography teacher before retiring in 2023. Stephen was a friend to many and is remembered fondly for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He enjoyed baseball and was actively involved in a fantasy league he helped form in 1988 that is still going strong. He loved reading, music, history, travel, and learning German, and was a former member and vice president of the German-American Society of Tulsa. Most of all, he was a dedicated father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. Stephen is survived by his three children,

Lindsey (Craig), Tess, and Stern; his grandson, Luca; his brother, Justin; and his nephew, Austin, and family. A celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 2:00pm at The Canopy, 19 E. Reconciliation Way, Tulsa, OK 74103.
