Alexander Lee Bryan, 19, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on January 13, 2020. Born August 16th, 2000, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Amy Vadenhuerk and was adopted by father, Jeffrey M. Hendrix.
Alex had an amazing soul. He was smart, talented, and creative. He loved music and gaming. He enjoyed swimming, the outdoors, and drawing. He had a contagious sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He had the ability to provoke laughter even in the darkest times. His
generosity went beyond ability and he genuinely gave whole heartedly to those in need. He would often times go without so others would not and would do so humbly and selflessly.
The light he radiated will never be forgotten.
Alex took immense joy in being a big brother. He lovingly watched over his siblings with a sense of pride and protection. He had a strong bond with each of his siblings. He was their best friend and confident.
He is a beloved son. His love and support were unconditional. He taught his parents patience, and what true love was. The imprint he left on others is unique and will be ever present.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Carrico, great-grandfather, Troy Savage, great-grandfather, Tommy Blackmon, and great-grandmother, Joyce Blackmon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Amy Hendrix, father, Jeffrey M. Hendrix, brothers: Jeffrey W. Hendrix and Harrison; sisters: Leccy Bryan, Violet, and Lilynn; grandfather, James Vandenhuerk, along with a host of other family and friends.
Alex will be missed every second of every day.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home Chapel, 2103 East 3rd Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74104.
