Ann Marie Dozier, 72, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Church of Saint Mary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ann was born on October 13, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina. She dedicated her life to nursing, earning her LPN at Lawton Vo-Tech, her RN at Bacone College, and her BSN at the University of Oklahoma. Ann's compassion and commitment to patient care earned her national recognition when she was named National Nurse of the Year in 2010.

A survivor in every sense of the word, Ann overcame breast cancer and persevered after suffering major spinal injuries from a collision with a semi-truck, continuing to practice nursing for another 15 years following her recovery and surgery. Her strength, resilience, and dedication were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Kazimier Jablonski; her mother, Leeila Dent; her brother-in-law, Michael May; and her niece, Karen May.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Jordan Dozier; her daughter, Kendra Dozier; her grandchildren, Anya Elise Dozier and Harrison James Dozier; her sister, Genie May; her brother, Joe Jablonski; her niece, Kimberly May; her grandnieces, Andi, Allie, and Megan; and granddogger Jeremiah Eziekal Dozier.

Ann's legacy of strength, compassion, and love will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable life and career.
