Anthony 'Tony' Maestri McVay September 20, 1937 July 25, 2013 Born September 20, 1937 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Wilson E. and Anita P. (Maestri) McVay. He was the youngest of three children. Tony had one sister, Wilsena McVay (Hatch) and one brother, George McVay. Tony peacefully succumbed to cancer on Thursday, July 25. He was a loving and adored father and Eepaw. Tony loved his horses and was well-known for his horsemanship, breeding, and raising race horses. He served in the Armed Forces as a Marine and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for more than 50 years. He is survived by his three children, Molly Damer of Broken Arrow, Kathleen Tupman of Hong Kong, Georgie Stoops of Bixby; seven grandchildren, Ross and Bailey Carr of Bixby, Gentry Cooper of Hong Kong, Grace and Jake Stoops of Bixby, and Keirsten and Keith Matthew Tupman of Hong Kong. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Toni Jo McVay-Bonney, and son, Matthew McVay. As he passed on, he rode his horse through the golden gates. Happy trails to you Daddy.until we meet again. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Broken Arrow at 11:00am. Internment of ashes to follow at Floral Haven.
