Arthur Roger McGrew, husband, father, papa and pastor was born January 19, 1927 in Nardin, OK, a small town near Blackwell, where he grew up and attended HS. He received his BS at Oklahoma City University and his Masters of Divinity at Southern Methodist University. He served many churches in the Methodist Conference until his retirement as Associate Pastor at Boston Avenue in 1992. Always a man who enjoyed laughter and pranks, He once told the membership committee they needed to do a better job because he was burying members faster than they were bringing them in. As a farm boy he grew up loving to hunt and fish and started enjoying golf after the service. He was a man who was happy with staying close to home and simple pleasures, but his wife Joan was a traveler extraordinaire so at her coaxing (orders) he got to see a lot of the world and has walked on every continent, he never once complained. He is survived by two sons, Steve and Jeff McGrew who live in Tulsa. 4 grandchildren, Brian McGrew, Meggan McGrew, Kayla Than and Miranda Sellers and 4 Great grandchildren, Elana, Colin, Rex, Jace and Cannon.
