Betty Oliver O'Neal died peacefully at Clare Bridge Senior Living facility after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Betty was born on September 14, 1925 in St. Louis, MO to Clarence Leon Oliver and Ethel Marie Hilton. Betty earned her BA from the University of Oklahoma and her Master's Degree from Tulsa University. She was a retired school teacher/counselor. She spent most of her career at Byrd Junior High. Betty and her husband, Charles celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2013. She and her husband, Charles enjoyed traveling and made many memories in their motorhome after they retired. Betty is survived by: a son, Charles O'Neal of Broken Arrow; a daughter, Melissa (Steve) of Zephyrhills, FL; two granddaughters, Jennifer Rosenberg and Kimberly Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson and Christian Rosenberg; one brother, Leon (Judy) Oliver of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Mary Vaughn (Raybourn) Smiser, Oklahoma City and Jean Watson, Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Maria Oliver, Frisco, TX; son-in-law, Jim Riggins; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by: her husband, Charles K. O'Neal; daughter, Elizabeth Riggins; and brother, Amory Oliver. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospice.
