Obituary

Bonnie Sue Cook was born December 8, 1938 to Johnny Leroy and Edith Lucille Staley in Pawnee, Okla. She grew up in Yale Okla. She married Jerry Dan Cook on July 17, 1955. She lived most of her life in Stillwater Okla. where she and Jerry owned and operated Antiquer's Refinishing and later she began her quilting business Around the Block which she managed until her death on Aug. 18, 2012. A member and Sunday school teacher of Crosspointe Church of Stillwater, Sue was also a former member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association with her husband, Jerry. In recent years shooting pool became a hobby when her mother passed on a love of the game. She was also a member of the Quilt Guild of Stillwater, participated in jail ministries and shared her love of gospel music at gospel singing, retirement centers and nursing homes. Her ultimate satisfaction and commitment lay in her love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry, her father, mother, and two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Staley, and one nephew. She is survived by: daughters, Mary and her husband Steve Going of Cushing, Okla. and Diane and her husband David Scheid, of Coyle, Okla.; sons, Mike Cook; and John Cook and his wife Sharon both of Stillwater Okla. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 nieces and 1 nephew, and many friends..
