Brenda L. McLaughlin passed away, peacefully, on March 30, 2015 at the age of 74. Brenda was born to Mildred and Cly Armstrong and was raised in Bond Special Arkansas. Both parents preceded her death. Brenda graduated as a registered nurse in 1962 from St Edwards School of Nursing in Ft. Smith Arkansas. After raising three daughters, she worked for many years in the healthcare field. She had an outstanding career as a long term care administrator and was president of the Tulsa Metropolitan Nursing Home Association. She later worked and retired as a nursing home surveyor with the OSDH. Her passion for senior care and their families was well known by all. Brenda loved cooking, gardening, vacations in Destin and her beloved dog Lulu. Brenda is survived by: her three daughters, Loree Smith and her husband, Chad, of Bentonville Arkansas, Lisa Aishman of Edmond, Leslie Freet of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Chase, Mattie, Ben and Lydia. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Bazany, of Kenosha Wisconsin as well as nieces and nephews. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 in the chapel at Harvard Ave Christian Church.
