Brian Layton Puckette

Born February 7, 1936 to John and Ruth Puckette in Tulsa Oklahoma. He left his earthly home on February 7, 2023 and was met with open arms by his parents, his wife Irene and his brother Cecil. He is survived by his sister Anita Tate of Tulsa, two nephews, two nieces and many cousins.

Brian graduated from Tulsa Central HS in 1954 and immediately joined the US Marine Corps during the Korean war. He served his country until 1958. He attended NSU Tahlequah and Oklahoma School of Accounting upon his return.

Brian and Irene moved to Escondido, CA for several years but returned home to Oklahoma and lived in the Hodgen, OK area for 40 years. He retired from the OK Department of Corrections in 1995.

The family would like to thank Prairie Rose Retirement Community, Complete Hospice, and Amada Health Services for the love and care they gave Brian the last 14 months.
