C. L. Stephens August 5, 1933 August 24, 2014 C. L. Stephens was born in Vera, Oklahoma August 5, 1933, to Elmer and Hazel Stephens. He passed from this life on August 24, 2014 at the age of 81. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa. He married Joyce Bordwine on June 26, 1953. They lived in Owasso, OK where they were married 58 years and raised four children.. C. L. loved to go to church, visit with family and friends and watch ANY kind of sports on T.V. He is survived by their children: Doug and Deidra Stephens of Bixby, Oklahoma; Joy and Darrell Simonds of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; Clay and Debra Stephens of Owasso, Oklahoma; and Brian and Karla Stephens of Skiatook, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Glenn Stephens of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Stephens of Portland, Tennesee; and his sister LaVonn Plute of Stroud, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, and one brother, Gail Stephens. C.L.'s service will be held Saturday, September 6, 11:00 a.m. at Shelter Freewill Baptist Church in Collinsville, OK.
