It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Leverett
Carol Justine Leverett, 79, a resident of Boynton Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Friday October 9, 2020 . Carol was born December 13, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Harold and Mary (Sewell) Wickey. She graduated from St. Agnes Catholic School in 1958. She married her childhood sweetheart that same year and together they had four children.
Artistic, adventurous and having a passion for the outdoors, Carol poured her love of learning and animals into equestrian sport, competitive shepherding and later into textile crafts of weaving and felting.
She also had a passion to serve, becoming a CNA, and provided several years of
in - home care to individuals she treated as family.
Her skills ranged as wide as her open heart, and she remained a strong advocate and supporter to many causes and issues throughout the years. She was known for her quick wit, her strong connection to Life and her deep love of family, as well as her loyalty in friendships.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Donna, Harold Jr, Joann and Gerald.
She is survived by former husband Kent Leverett, children: Shawn Leverett, Ann Renee Lassiter, Mark Leverett and Alaine Neelly Hudlin and five grandchildren: Kyle Leverett, Garrin Neelly, Justin Neelly, Zachary Lassiter and Maddi Lassiter: former partner Jim Spencer and lifelong friend Max Cary.

Celebration honoring Carol's life will be Saturday, October 17 from 1pm - 4pm.

Due to the current pandemic the celebration will be held in an outdoor pavilion. Masks are required.
