Obituary

Carolyn (Connie) Ridgway Seibold was born in 1939 in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Carroll and Velma Ridgway. She grew up in Fletcher and was an active member of the Disciples of Christ Church.

She was a National Honor Student Finalist and winner of the Oklahoma Betty Crocker Award, which earned her a scholarship along with a trip to Washington D.C. and New York City. She attended Texas Christian University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an English minor. She took summer classes at Oklahoma State University, where she met her first husband, Harold Boggs.She started her computer career at a small oil and gas production company and was their first computer user. As her career progressed, she specialized in accounting software and concluded her career working as a computer contractor.

She and Harold had two children, Damon and Thea. Harold was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and in residency in San Antonio, where he died in an auto accident. Carolyn later moved to Tulsa for support from her parents and Harold's parents. In 1966, while in Tulsa, she met and married John R. Seibold. She and John had a son, Michael, in 1979, who passed in 2023.

Carolyn and John always enjoyed square dancing. Once retired, she and John added Contra and English country dance. They traveled to dances nationwide and even rented an apartment in Lexington, Kentucky, where they participated in different kinds of dancing. Their travels also included many trips to Europe, mainly along the coast and river cruises.

Carolyn always enjoyed traveling. As a child, she traveled with her family and made a point of taking numerous vacations with her own family, including to Hawaii, Florida, California, Alaska, Washington, DC, New England, and numerous National Parks.

In 2018, John and Carolyn moved into Zarrow Point retirement center. They continued dancing as much as possible and enjoyed the many activities and friends they made at Zarrow Pointe.

Carolyn endured many hardships in life, the death of a husband, the death of a child, and breast cancer, with determination and perseverance. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a loyal friend.

Carolyn was predeceased in death by her parents, her husbands, Harold Boggs and John Seibold, and her son, Michael Webster Seibold. She is survived by her son Damon Boggs, daughter Thea Lawson, and grandsons Derek Ellis and Clark Ellis. She is also survived by her brother, Lee Ridgway.

Carolyn supported many non-profit organizations during her life. Donations in her name can be made to Planned Parenthood of the Great Plains, Hope Unitarian Church, and Tulsa Public Schools.
