Carolyn, 76, passed away February 17th, 2024. She was born on May 3rd, 1947 to Frank and Mary Alice Wingo in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Muskogee High School in 1966 and then graduated from Northeastern State University.

Carolyn taught for over 30 years at Union Public Schools in Tulsa. She was proud of her contributions to the educational profession, from that steamed a group called the Bunko Babes, a friendship group that has lasted over 30 years.

Carolyn was loved by many of her students, teachers and friends. She loved her home in Bixby, working outside with her flowers and plants. She also loved her neighbors and Bunko friends that were always there to help her when she needed them.

Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Alice (Farris) Wingo of Muskogee, Oklahoma; husband Charles (Chuck) Travelstead of Bixby, Oklahoma; and sister Kay Wingo of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Survived by step-son Chuck, Jr. and his son Tanner of New Mexico; step-daughter Kimberly and her children Bronson and Chelsea of Colorado; cousins Gary Wingo and wife Lynda of Tulsa; Kathy Daniel and husband Loe of Boulder, CO; step-brother Kent Dunbar of Tulsa, OK; brother-in-laws Eric and wife Jinny, James, and Chris; sister-in-laws Mary, Katherine, and DeDe; and nieces Mary Clements, Erica, and Samantha Travelstead. Plus many other family members and friends.
