Cathy Jean Hunter (Jones), age 74, Broken Arrow, OK, passed away September 23, 2022. Cathy was born August 8, 1948 in Council Bluffs, IA to Eugene and Donna Jones.

Cathy earned her BFA at UNO and her MFA at U of A. She was very creative and was a published writer, playwright and photographer. She taught Composition & Creative Writing at the university level as well as poetry to grade school students. All her life, she was active in equal rights movements and she loved the opera.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Jones, her daughter Melody (Rob) Daily, and two grandsons Xander & Jordan Daily.

A private memorial service will be held October 9, 2022.
