Charlene passed away from this earthly life in our heavenly fathers arms at the age of 77 on September 10th, 2017. Charlene was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles A. Helen I. Roberts on November 28, 1939. She graduated from Central High School in 1957. Her first marriage was to David G. Pavey Sr in 1957. They had 3 children: David G. Pavey jr, Charles L. Pavey and Mimi J.J. Pavey. She later married ( a wonderful man that has known her; her whole life) David W. Hitchins on August 14, 1994 and has lasted for 23 years. She retired from the Veterans Administration as Assistant Director to spend many years traveling in their RV covering over 150,000 miles of beautiful country. Charlene was a member of Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi (for over 60 years), Cedar Ridge Christian Church, Lifetime member of Good Sams International RV Club as well as Millenium Sams Chapter of Oklahoma City, and Red Hat society. She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Roberts of OKC, son Charles Lester Pavey of Muskogee, and several aunts and uncles. Charlene is survived by husband David W. Hitchins, son David G. Pavey Jr and wife LaDawna of Tulsa, daughter Mimi J.J. Strickland and husband Dewayne of Broken Arrow, 9 grandchildren, and 26 grand children. A celebration of her life will be held at Cedar Ridge Christian Church on September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. We wish that everyone celebrate her life by wearing something of her favorite colors purple or red.
