Charles Allen Stapleton, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Charles was born August 1, 1950 to Gerald (Gene) and Louise S. Burris Stapleton. He was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graduating from College High School in 1968 and entering the US Navy in 1970. He served his country for 4 years. This is where he met his wife Diana Lee (Johnson) Stapleton. They returned to Bartlesville after the enlistment where they raised their 2 daughters, before moving to St. Louis. Charlie worked for TRW Reda Pumps and then Bodine Aluminum In St. Louis as a maintenance mechanic. He and his wife returned to Bartlesville in retirement. Charlie was an avid Outdoorsman and a family man, enjoying anything he could do outside with his family. He was an amazing artist and craftsman. He loved spending time with his Grandkids in his later years teaching them to fish and shoot. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Stapleton. He is survived by his wife Diana Stapleton, mother, Louise Stapleton, His two daughters Shannon Green and Jaime Lamm. Their spouses Jason Green and Dale Lamm. Five Grandkids, Stacy Green, Tyler Green, Benjamin Lamm, Trista Lamm, and Jocelyn Lamm. He is also survived by 2 brothers Jerry and Mike Stapleton, Many sisters and brothers in law, countless, and nieces and nephews. In some of his last thoughts 'I'm living on borrowed time and look like a strong wind would blow me away.' He didn't have a chance to finish this. He will be greatly missed by all.
