Charles Earl Zimmerman, 85, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. He was born on October 27, 1939, in Okmulgee, OK to parents Hubert and Nonearl (Bennett) Zimmerman.

He attended and graduated from Morris High School. Charles grew up on a dairy farm and loved farm life.

Charles had a successful career as a baker and formed many great and long-lasting relationships along the way. As a young man, Charles was employed at Tasty Bread in Muskogee, OK. He then went to work for Rainbo Baking Company as Director of Manufacturing in Tulsa, OK. Charles finished out his career at Bama Foods where he retired and was known for his "biscuit wisdom".

Charles married Betty Sue Smith in Muskogee, OK in 1960. Their marriage was filled with love, laughter, and many happy years together. Together they loved to travel and camp to many destinations.

Over the years, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and his chickens. Charles had a smile and charming blue eyes that would light up the room. Time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren planted many seeds that will forever enrich our family.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Sue Zimmerman; son Jimmy Wayne Zimmerman; grandson Benjamin Zimmerman; brothers Hubert Zimmerman, Jr., and Ben Zimmerman.

Charles is survived by his son Jon David Zimmerman (Kerry) of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren Kayci Andrews (Jesse) of Jenks, OK and Kortney Lucas (Kenny) of Broken Arrow, OK; great grandchildren Claire Sophia and Easton James Andrews; sister Muriel Siegenthaler (Larry) of Morris, OK; and many nieces and nephews.
