Christine Elizabeth Tapal, age 40, passed away in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on March 8, 2016. She was born December 24, 1975 in Houston, Texas to Joseph John Tapal, Jr. and Carol Lynn James Tapal. As a young person, Christine excelled in honors classes at St. Agnes Academy and the Houston Vanguard Program. She was an avid reader, life learner and pursued genealogical endeavors by tracing her Mothers family history to 900 A.D. Christine was a devoted granddaughter to both Miriam Tapal and Margaret James in their final years. Christine graduated from the University of Houston with honors and continued her education at Houston Baptist University for a Masters Degree. Christine started her career as a model, coordinating work with stylists, photographers and retail buyers at fashion shows. Christine worked in project development at Texas Department of Transportation and continued her career in commercial real estate at Situs Companies. Christines remains will be placed in the Tapal Family Gravesite in Fayetteville, Texas with three generations of the Tapal family. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Tapal, Jr., her grandparents, Miriam and Joseph Tapal and Margaret and Kenneth James, Sr. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Carol and Bill Sapp of Houston, Texas. Christine was dearly loved and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
