Connie Sue Leeds, aged 72, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2022 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Connie was born on October 5th, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Jim and Willa Mae Leeds. Connie always had a passion for life, and that passion could be seen in her personal, creative, and professional endeavors. Connie spent some of the most cherished years of her professional life working for Crittenton Children's Center in Kansas City, Missouri, where she was the Director of Volunteer Services. In 2009, Connie returned to Oklahoma and worked for the Cherokee Nation before retiring in 2013. She adored James Taylor, margaritas, a good cup of coffee, patchouli, her Cherokee heritage, and spending time with her children, extended family, and countless friends. Above all, Connie will be remembered for her loving nature, genuine smile, and unconditional love for her friends and family. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Willa Mae Leeds of Ft. Gibson, and is survived by her two children, daughter Teresa (Thomas) Payne of Tahlequah, and son Daniel Schlittler Leeds of Santa Ana, Costa Rica, and her brother, Jimmie Richard (Sharon) Leeds of Tahlequah. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Richard and Sharon Leeds on 6/25/2022, from 2-4pm.
