Obituary

Constance "Connie" Ann Artz, 72, was gently embraced by her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 2, 2026. A lifelong presence in the communities of Caney, Dewey, and Bartlesville, she was born on July 5, 1953, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Norman Elera Fitch and Patricia Louise "Cooper" Fitch.

Connie was raised in Coffeyville, where she attended Coffeyville Public Schools and graduated with the Coffeyville High School Class of 1971. On June 30, 1973, she was united in marriage to John William Artz VII at Dewey United Methodist Church. Though their marriage ended in 1990, they continued to share a legacy through their family and community work.

Connie was a woman of remarkable drive and heart. She served as General Manager for Pizza Hut and excelled as a Sales Leader for Electrolux, Rainbow Vacuum, Tupperware, and Avon Cosmetics. She also worked with Fitch Ambulance Service and contributed to multiple family businesses in Coffeyville. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Connie was deeply committed to serving others. Alongside John, she co-founded Project Organs, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and assisting families in need of organ transplants throughout the Bartlesville community. Her compassion and determination helped bring hope to countless lives.

Above all, Connie's greatest joy and pride was her family. She is survived by her son, John William Artz VIII and his husband, James Turner, of Las Vegas, Nevada; her son Jason Wayne Artz and his wife, Jaisa, of Pittsburg, Kansas; and her beloved grandchildren, Holden Vance and Lincoln Artz. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Paula Eckert and husband Donald; brother-in-law Gary Artz and wife Fawn; brother-in-law Jason Yocum of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews Natalie Turner, Nathan Turner, Chad Eckert, Brandon Eckert, and Quentin Eckert; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her cherished best friend and sister of 40 years, Cathy Faulkner, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Fitch (2001); her mother, Pat Fitch (2022); her older sister, Debbie Turner (2023), former husband John William Artz VII (2010), and brother-in-law Dan Artz (2023).

Connie will be remembered for her strength, resilience, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and community. As well as her quirky and fabulous sense of style and personality. She truly was one of a kind.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held to honor Connie and the beautiful life she lived, celebrating the joy, love, gratitude, and light she brought to so many. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. at:
