Cynthia Louise
Ewing
April 30, 1963 – March 27, 2026
View Acres Baptist Church
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Cynthia ”Cindy” Louise Ewing, 62, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, entered into her Savior’s arms on March 27, 2026 at 8:13am at St Francis Hospital, Tulsa. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at View Acres Baptist Church, 2327 S. 65th West Ave, Tulsa, OK.
Cindy was born on April 30, 1963 in Tulsa, OK. Raised in church, Cindy was a sweet little girl whom her teachers adored. She knew the answers to all the Sunday School questions, but during the pregnancy with her oldest daughter, she realized she had all the answers, but no real relationship with Jesus. So, it was at that time she wanted to make that official so that she would have no doubts about her faith. She gave her life to Jesus and was baptized to make her faith public. Since then, she relied on Jesus to help her through the mountaintops as well as the valleys of her life.
Cindy raised her 2 daughters in Sapulpa where she grew up. In addition to being an incredible mom, she worked in food service and as a custodian cleaning the local doctor’s office. She also ran an in-home daycare and took care of children while their parents worked. Later in life, she began working for Walgreen’s Drugstore and was a genuine sweet-spot in her customers’ day. She got to know their families over time and would chat about their stories with her husband, daughters, and friends. One activity she loved was two-stepping to some good country music. She loved dancing with her friends just about anywhere she was whether she was at a concert or in her kitchen. Cindy was the Kansas City Chiefs number one fan! She would cheer so loud during football games that it would literally make her grandkids jump in terror. She would giggle and apologize to them because her grandbabies were her whole world and she always wanted them to feel safe and loved. Being a Grammy was definitely her favorite role.
In her 50’s, she moved to Weatherford to live near her daughter after her husband passed. While there, she worked in her church’s nursery as well as the church’s daycare. She loved working with children and families so much. In 2023, she had a stroke that demanded 24-hour nursing care and moved back to the Tulsa area to be close to her daughter again. The last month of her life was spent working on her mental health. She decided that she was worth the work. Her family was so proud of her choice to want to be well in every way! She was truly her happiest those last few weeks of her life.
Cindy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Roger Howell of Sand Springs, OK and Rebecca and Sean Lewis of Alvin, TX; her dad and stepmom, Bill and Velma Main, of Branson, MO; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Margie Main of Wyandotte, OK; her grandchildren, Caley, Mckyla, Abby, Shiloh, Jameson, Anthony, Skylar, Betty Lou, Stetson, Christian, and Summer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, step-siblings, and friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her late husband, Roger Ewing; her mom, Patsy Main; her 3 grandbabies who she couldn’t wait to hold; her nephew, Cody Cosby; her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifeShare, an Oklahoma organ donation non-profit, with whom Cindy was willing to share her gifts she no longer needed.
