Daniel DeWayne Putnam, 70, went to meet his Lord and maker on August 6, 2021.
A Remembrance of his life was held in his daughter's home in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a Memorial Service is planned for early June, 2022 in Caro, Michigan.
Daniel was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Stanley and Olive Putnam on March 3, 1951.
Daniel grew up in a large, loving family who loved the Lord. He served as a missionary in Brazil in his twenties and started and pastored a church there. He moved to Tulsa in 1984 with his previous wife and two daughters where he worked as a carpenter. He later moved to Michigan and spent his final years back in Tulsa with his daughters. He was a great cook and storyteller, a kind and patient teacher, a skilled carpenter, a generous friend, a devoted son and brother, and a loving father.
He is survived by his daughters, Kelley Putnam Carney and Rachel Davenport, his grandchildren, Cassidy, Kailey, and Noah Carney, and Gavin Davenport, his sister, Delores Coffeen and brother, Jack Putnam, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
He was loved and will be missed more than words can express and thankfully, he knew it.
Some of his final words were, " All's I know is that I am loved by many, many people here and if God is willing, I'll see you all again."
