David Green was born on March 27, 1955 to James and Frances Green in Tacoma Washington. They moved to Tulsa when David was three months old and he spent the rest of his life in the city and state he loved. David passed away on December 14, 2014 after a struggle with cancer. He is survived by his mother, Frances Schultz, daughter Jennifer Young and her husband Lee, son Jordan Green, brother Mike Green and Andrea Spencer, sister Karen Moll and her husband Rich, brother Robert Green and his wife Joey, and 4 grandchildren, Jacqualynn, Kaleb, Maddie and Paul. David graduated from Edison High School in 1973 where he had great success on the wrestling team. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many. One of Davids many passions in life was his career where he was known for his dedication and loyalty. He truly enjoyed his work and it played a major role in his life. He started working at BB Lumber at the age of 14 and later moved to Mill Creek Lumber where he worked for over 20 years. He enjoyed working with customers and helping them solve their construction problems. His Mill Creek Mill family has been incredibly supportive throughout his challenging battle with cancer. David had many pastimes that filled his life with happiness. He was known for his woodworking and handyman skills, and helped the entire family fix and build many things in their homes. Along with family and friends, David built an A-Frame home at Grand Lake. He loved spending time at the lake and really enjoyed being on or around the water. One of his best recent memories was fishing in the Gulf of Mexico on a family vacation. He bought a fishing pole, waded out in the water and was determined to catch a fish. While the fish never showed up, David loved the experience and made it a memorable time for the entire family. He had a passion for life that was contagious to everybody around him. David was also known as a caregiver to anyone that needed help. He never knew a stranger, and will be missed by all that knew him.
