IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deanna Dale
Robertson
June 4, 1941 – November 3, 2023
Deanna Robertson, a well-known member of the Tulsa aviation community for over 50 years has died at the age of 82. She leaves behind a Cessna 150 with long range tanks and a hanger on the far side of the airport. There will be a ceremony celebrating her life December 2nd at 4pm at Tulsa Riverside Airport.
We expect though you probably want a little more so as Paul Harvey would say, here's the rest of the story. She was a 1959 graduate of Tulsa Edison High School, pledged Chi Omega for the year she spent at OSU, got married, started a family, and in 1969 accepted an offer of ten free flying lessons that her boss has picked up at a charity auction. And after that, she never looked back. Fifty-four years and thirty-two thousand flight hours later, she has taught a truly unknown number of people to fly and touched thousands of lives throughout the aviation community. She has been a member of The Ninety-Nines since her earliest years of flying and became a supporter of numerous other aviation communities along the way. As a lifelong fan of country and western music, she has been spending her recent, semi-retirement years as a member of the Oklahoma Steel Guitar Association, including her love of an instrument that can be traced back to when she was nine years old.
There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony for her on December 2nd at Christiansen Aviation at Riverside Airport. It'll begin around 4:00 pm and all are welcome to attend.
