Debra "Debbie" Louise Ennis, 49, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is fondly remembered for her kind, loving, and joyous spirit. Debbie was a remarkable athlete growing up playing both basketball and softball for Owasso High and achieving All-State in softball. As well as her outstanding athletic ability, she thrived in academics. She was an active member of National Honor Society and graudated at the top of her class at Owasso High School. She received a full academic scholarship from the University of Tulsa where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Debbie began working for St. Francis Hospital while attending TU and continued after graduation. Debbie continued her education earning her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. Debbie accomplished numerous achievements in her professional career, most notable, her involvement in developing the Heart Transplant Program at St. Francis Hospital. Debbie was a caring, loving, nurturing person without an enemy in the world. She always had a warm smile on her face and she truly touched the lives of every person that weas lucky enough to meet her. She was generous and giving without any expectations. She was an avid animal rights activist. She definitely loved her dogs as they werent just animals, they were part of her family. Debbie loved traveling and had many adventures with her friends and family. She also loved spending summer weekends at Grand Lake. Debbie was adventurous, feisty, loving, and lived her life to the absolute fullest. Debbie is survived by her parents: William "Bill" and Janice Ennis; her lifetime partner, Nancy Beth Hatcher; her brother, Bill Ennis and his wife, Michele, and their children, Bethany and Ty. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of loving friends and coworkers. Debbie will forever be missed by everyone in her life, as she was truly loved.
