Obituary

Diana Marie "Little Jack" Boyd was born on August 1, 1959 in Claremore to John and Shirley (Sallee) Roberts. She grew up in the rolling hills of Chelsea alongside the Anderson family. She began her schooling at Bushyhead before transferring to Chelsea where she graduated in 1977.

After graduation, she worked various jobs until she felt the call to become a nurse. She proudly graduated nursing school in 1991 and began working at Hillcrest Tulsa until retirement.

Diana married Daniel Boyd in 1998 and he preceded her in death in 2006.

Although she wasn't able to have her own children, she was a doting "Aunt Niney" to all her nieces and nephews. Teaching them all about strength, independence, loyalty and the importance of living freely. Even while instilling all the life lessons, she wasn't afraid to pull out "Mr. Happy." She was able to teach all those life lessons because that is how she lived her life. Even through all the tribulations that came her way, she wavered through with such strength and was as loyal as anyone could be.

"Little Jack" was very proud of her Native American heritage. She loved learning all about it and displaying native artifacts throughout her home. She also enjoyed spending quality time with her life-long friends, whether it was just a house visit where all enjoyed fellowship and listening to her favorite musician Leon Russell or floating down Spring Creek.

In 2007, Diana was blessed to be reunited with her first true love Harold Jones. They entered into a committed union in 2008, becoming the centerpiece of each other's life. With this union, she was given the blessing of children and grandchildren that she considered her very own. Little Jack and Harold got to enjoy each other through their retirement by traveling to Mississippi and sitting out on their porch swing keeping each other company and watching the farm critter in the yard.

Diana passed from the Earth on July 25, 2024 in Tulsa surrounded by family at the age of 64. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Roberts Family Cemetery (20303 E 410 Rd, Chelsea) with Warren "Sparky" Roberts officiating.
