Debra "Diane" (Alaman) Hodges, 62, of Tulsa, OK, and formerly of Big Lake and McCamey, TX, was called home to be with Jesus and her parents on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, after a month-long battle with her heart and lungs at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.
She was born October 29, 1956, in Indianapolis, IN to Emma Jean (Tucker) Alaman and James K. Alaman.
Prior to moving to Tulsa, Diane was a well-loved fixture in Big Lake. She was often seen joking around with her friends and family at Grandma's Kitchen as a waitress.
She was lovingly raised by her parents Joe Leo Harris, Jr. and Emma Jean Harris, who both preceded her in death in 1991 and 2003, respectively.
Known by many names: Diane, Debra Diane, Mom, Nana, Nana Diane, Auntie, and Annie, she is survived by her sons Jody Ford (Jennifer), Chris Ford, and Earnest Arnold (Jamie Lynn) and grandchildren Skylar and Hunter Ford and Alex and Kayla Arnold. She is also survived by her brothers Wayne Alaman (Patty), David Alaman (LaDonna), and Terry Harris (Pam), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her friendly and smiling face.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 19th, 2019, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 510 E. 7th Street, Big Lake TX.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Big Lake for their support of Diane during her bout with cancer 8 years ago or the charity of your choice.
