Don Wiley Tinker, 81, of Stuart, Oklahoma, passed away on April 1, 2015 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Mr. Tinker was born to Ed and Mary Tinker in Bache, Oklahoma on September 4, 1933. Mr. Tinker was raised in Bache, Oklahoma. He attended elementary school in Anderson, Oklahoma and Graduated High School in Haileyville, Oklahoma. He excelled in varsity athletics and after graduation was a boxing coach and mentor for many years. He primarily made a living driving a truck cross country, then by driving a bus for Stuart Public Schools and Kiamichi Technology Center until his retirement. In his youth he loved to spend his spare time raising and training Appaloosa horses. He was quick to let people know his pride and joy were his grandchildren. Don was the happiest when he was able to watch them participate in their various endeavors. Don is survived by his daughters: Dawn (Tracy) Blasengame of Stuart, Oklahoma and Julie Adams of Terrell, Texas; step-sons: Ronnie (Dawn) Lampkin of Bovina, Mississippi, Tommy (Sharon) of Bovina, Mississippi; grandchildren: Traynor and Braelyn Blasengame, Bobby and Brian Lampkin, Randy and Casey Lampkin; brother: Hollis Tinker of McAlester, Oklahoma; sisters: Helen Noble of Ada, Oklahoma, Rosemary Free of McAlester, Oklahoma and Linda Camp of High Hill, Oklahoma; special friends: Soania and Felicia Wilson of Stuart, Oklahoma and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Mary Tinker; previous wives: Maggie Tinker and Lisabeth Tinker; brothers: Leon Tinker of Phoenix, Arizona, Bob Tinker, Bill Tinker, Roy Tinker and Joe Tinker; sister Joyce Martin and grandson Christopher Lampkin. Memorial services for Don will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Stuart First Baptist Church in Stuart, Oklahoma. The family has requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Don Tinker Memorial Fund c/o Stuart Freewill Baptist Church.
