Donald Lee Holder Sr. passed away February 28, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born April 10, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Landon and Ovella Holder.
Don, Husband, Son, Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend are just a few of the many names we used to call him, he was a man of love, character, and compassion, he never failed to show affection for those within his life whether it was through a hug, kiss, or a simple "I love you." He enjoyed this world and all it had to offer him through countless adventures. From scuba diving in Hawaii, riding motorcycles, to flying planes over Oklahoma all adventure was welcomed like an old friend. Nature was another of his passions, he loved family camping trips during which he would go hunting but he would never harm an animal, he just enjoyed taking in God's work and spending time with his family and friends. We all noticed how he wallowed in the love of countless four legged family members over the years, especially Boston Terriers, which brought him immense joy. Don's family were and always will be his greatest source of pride and joy, and the legacy, and lessons he left behind for them of both hard work and appreciation of all this world has to offer is one that will always leave us striving for more.
His selfless acts were always present as he provided for his family. No needs ever went unanswered.
Jokester extraordinaire is how others will remember him as he was always involved in practical jokes with his friends and family. He loved seeing people's eyes light up with a smile and his laugh could be heard for miles.
