Donna Lea
Corum
Sep 11, 1950 — Jun 20, 2026
St. Bernard of Clairvaux
1:00 - 3:00 pm (Central time)
Donna Lea Mattingly Corum, born September 11, 1950, in Kentucky to the late Louis and Mildred Mattingly, passed away Saturday evening at Saint Francis South Hospital. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and nurse, Donna lived a life defined by strength, service, and unwavering love.
Donna married the love of her life, Barry Corum, in 1973, beginning 54 years together and 52 years of marriage. They met at the University of Kentucky and built a life rooted in commitment, adventure, and family.
Her nursing career spanned decades and cities—beginning as a CNA, later a respiratory therapist, and ultimately an RN in emergency and critical care in New Orleans, Houston, Baytown, and finally Tulsa, where she retired as a case management supervisor with Community Care of Oklahoma. Even in retirement, she continued serving others through volunteer nursing with Mercy Mission, Good Samaritan, and the Day Center for the Homeless.
Donna was the proud mother of Elliott, Sarah (Matt) of Glen Carbon, IL, and Micah (Ambar) of Dahlonega, Ga. She adored her five grandchildren—Sean, Madison, Isabel, Levi, and Wyatt—and shared a uniquely close bond with Madison.
Born one of six children, Donna is survived by her siblings Daniel (Renae), Johnny (Amy), Jerry (Dianna), Joe (Leslie), and Vicki, with whom she shared lifelong closeness.
Donna and Barry treasured time with their family, traveling often to visit their children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed quiet days at home, strong friendships, and the comfort of a life well lived.
Known for her honesty, humor, and fierce devotion, Donna was a force—confident, compassionate, and deeply loved. Her legacy of service and strength lives on in all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 4001 E 101st St, Tulsa, OK 74137. A reception will follow in the community room.
Later this summer, Donna’s family will accompany her to Owensboro, Kentucky, for a private graveside ceremony with family. A celebration of her life will be held in Owensboro as well.
