Dorothy Lynne Levick, age 96, Tulsa, OK passed away peacefully on July 24, 2018 from Alzheimer's disease with her daughter, Sherry by her side. She was born August 11, 1922 to Bertha Gilman Twombly and James Twombly and lived the majority of her life in Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by husband, B.E. 'Vic' Levick, Colorado and son James E. Levick, Arizona. She is survived by son, Jack (Samantha) Greensboro, North Carolina; daughters, Sherry Herrin, Tulsa, OK, Carole Waugh (Tom), Flower Mound, TX; cherished grandson, Charles Herrin, Tulsa, OK and brother, Vernon Twombly, Snowmass, CO. Dorothy, an alumnus of Colorado College, had a voracious interest in the arts, poetry, gardening and her love of animals. She touched people's lives in so many ways, always trying to bring a smile with a kind word, gesture or anecdote of a story past. Dorothy's feistiness and energy will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. The family is grateful for the loving care and support provided by the staff at Senior Suites to Dorothy and her family the last several years. They have nurtured her and kept her spirit going so she could win one last wheelchair race! We extend our thanks to Roserock Hospice for their care of our mother and grandmother.
