Dorrence Marie Leech, known to dear friends and family as "Dee", 92, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on October 9, 2016. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 26, 1924, to William Wesley Burns and Sarah Ellen Seyler. The majority of her life was spent in Baltimore. February of 2015, she moved to Broken Arrow. Beloved by her family and Baltimore area friends, during her short time in Broken Arrow, Dee became a delight to all who encountered her in the communities of St. Anne Catholic Church, Broken Arrow Senior Center and her place of residence Hartford Villas. Quick with a smile, story, kind word and a listening ear, Dorrence will be remembered and dearly missed by all who loved her. She attended the Institute of Notre Dame in Baltimore. Dee retired from Merrill Lynch brokerage firm after many years, where she held the position of cashier. In the following years she served as a companion and caregiver to many individuals in Baltimore. Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Vincent Leech, and her fiance Raymond Powell, Glen Burnie, Maryland. She is survived by her two daughters Dorrence Elysa Reed of Baltimore, Maryland; and Susan Marie, with her husband, Albert L. Yowell of Catoosa, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren Alan E. Reed, with his wife Elvira, Los Angeles, California; David V. Reed, Baltimore; Gabriela E. Lopez, Tulsa; and Nicolas A. Lopez, with his wife Megan E., the Great Grandchildren Che L. and Vada A. The Rite of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 5, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Moreland Memorial Park, 1601 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, Maryland 21234.
