Douglas Curt Darby was born on April 4, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, parents, James Louis Darby and Vicki Diane (Berger) Darby. He passed away on August 13, 2024 in Afton, Oklahoma at the age of 62.

Doug was a lifelong Tulsa resident. He married his wife of 41 years, Kristi (Cagle) Darby on July 30, 1983 and together they raised two children. He was a devoted husband and father that regularly treated his family to wonderful home cooked meals.

Doug enjoyed life and loved to laugh and joke around. He was a great host and thoroughly enjoyed treating his family and friends to a good time. He made friends with everyone that met him and left a lasting impression on all. His favorite thing to do was simply spend time with his family. He loved the peace and tranquility of his lake house and being on the water. He was a long time avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan. He never missed a game and had great fun watching them with his kids. He liked watching all sports and loved music. His big personality, great sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Doug was a man of faith and loved the Lord. He grew up in Church and carried that love of God throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Kristi Darby, son Jacob Darby and daughter Ashley Darby, all of Tulsa; mother Vicki Darby of Tulsa; father & stepmother Jim & Sunny Darby of Afton, along with numerous extended family and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curt & Ruth Brown and Lee & Lucile Darby.
