Doyle Edward Jones, beloved husband, brother-in-law and friend peacefully left this life on September 9, 2021. He was born on June 7, 1951 in Sunnyside Washington to Jack and Verna Jones.
He married his wife, Susie, twenty four years ago who would describe him as the greatest trooper she ever met. He happily gained a new family who loved him very much. In addition, he had two dogs, Lady and Tramp, who miss being able to snuggle with him. He is also survived by Verna, Gayln, Jason, Chris, Alba and Jack.
Doyle held various jobs in his life: he owned a truck and excavation service, he proudly served in the Air National Guard, he was a truck mechanic, an over-the-road truck driver, paramedic and a patient companion at Saint Francis Hospital where his gentle spirit ministered to many troubled patients.
Doyle used his paramedic skills when he went to Rwanda with Operation Blessing following the 1994 genocide. He also helped provide medical care in Honduras with Common Ground Ministries following Hurricane Mitch which devastated Central America in 1998.
He went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras to minister with No Greater Love Ministries and joined his wife for several mission trips to Mexico.
Doyle loved the Lord and would pray with you anytime you asked him. He was a big guy with a gentle soul which enabled him to be great listener, friend and husband - he will be greatly missed.
His Celebration of Life service will be on October 9 at 2 pm at Spirit Life Church in Tulsa located at 5345 S. Peoria. Masks will be required.
