IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Vanover
June 21, 1949 – February 8, 2026
Edythe J. Vanover, 76, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away on February 8, 2026.
Edythe was born and raised in Claremore, Oklahoma. She met her soulmate Robert Vanover in Claremore and married on July 14, 1967. They later welcomed two children in their life; Tammy (03/08/1970) and Terry (05/19/1975).
Most of their time was spent at the lake and the race track. The race cars becoming a passion they both shared.
Edythe became Nanny (Nan for short) after the 1st grandson, Ty named her. She dove head first into that role. She was ever so present at any event she could attend. Loving each of her 7 grandkids fiercely. As they grew and got married she embraced their spouses. She did not hesitate to call them as well for a Diet Coke. She enjoyed her 10 great grandchildren and would save treats for them on her table. Loving their visits and always worried about how they where doing. She stood tall at 4'11 letting her family know she was present. Her home was available at any time if you needed a place to rest, visit or live. We will all miss the the security of Nan and the random phone calls for all her requests. Edythe will be laid to rest at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens with her Husband Robert Vanover.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burns Vanover, Jr, parents; Kay and Pete Ice, twin sister; Mary Letterman, granddaughter; Aubrey Maressa Vanover, sisters; Anna, Deloris, and Norma, along with her brothers; Walter, Buck, Leonard, and Larry.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Vanover-Stimson, Son Terry Vanover and wife, Jennifer, grandsons; Ty Stimson (Elizabeth), Austin Vanover (Morgan), Tate Stimson, Blade Stimson (Alsachia), Dallas Vanover (Branda), and Bryson Vanover, granddaughter; Madison Stimson-Boyd (Jackson), great-grandchildren; Kayden Vanover, Kace Vanover, Chason Stimson, Ember Stimson, Jade Stimson, Owen Stimson, Jack Stimson, Charlotte Stimson, Sutton Boyd, and Banks Vanover.
