Following a three-month illness, Ernest Lesser (93), currently of Claremore, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013. He is survived by Jacqueline Bealer Lesser, his wife of 70 years; a daughter Rosalie (Ro) Lesser Brooks of Morgantown, WV, a son Phillip Lesser of Tulsa, and two grandchildren Ryan and Jessica Lesser of Tulsa. Ernie was born on August 12, 1919 in Baldwin Park, CA to German immigrants Willy and Clara Gleichner Lesser. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Ernie was not only preceded in death by his parents but also a twin brother, Herbert A. Lesser, and older brother, Gerhardt W. Lesser. Ernie brought his family to Tulsa, OK in 1953 to manage Santa Fe Engineering Company, formerly based in California. His work continued to be in steel fabrication until he retired in 1987 to enjoy his home and family, gardening, traveling and love of life. Ernie's family and friends shall always miss his loving presence. His final resting place will be in his home state of California.
