II Timothy 4:7 Ernest Milton Ray was born on February 21, 1947 at Moton Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Naomi and Earnest Ray. Following his illness; he transitioned from earth to glory on the evening of March 28, 2014. Ernest, affectionately known as Milton or Slim was also the twin to Ernestine Harvey and the oldest son of six children. Milton attended schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas and Chicago, Illinois. Milton gave his life to Christ as a youth in Tulsa, Oklahoma at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. After returning to Tulsa, Ok he joined New Life Family Church. Milton was a Master painter, his paint brush touched walls from Illinois, to California, to Maryland, and Oklahoma. Milton enjoyed painting and could paint the edges and corners of a room without painters tape. "Slim" remained an avid walker right up to his illness, although he was very outspoken, all that knew Milton, understood he had a heart of gold. Milton loved life. He enjoyed dancing and joking with family and friends. In addition, to painting, Milton was very passionate about cooking preferring a "home cooked" meal over going out to a restaurant any day. In his spare time he also enjoys riding a motor bike and playing pool. Milton was preceded by his parents Ernest and Naomi Ray, brother, Dexter (Skip) and a nephew Michael Harrison. Being sustained through memories of Miltons loving, caring and giving nature are his daughter Valerie Lynn Watson-Wilcox(Robert) Atlanta and a son Christopher Ray Chicago. His twin sister Ernestine Mildred Harvey Tulsa, sisters Vivian Ann Tucker (Ernest), of Ft Walton Beach, Florida and Blanche DeeDee Mayo (Anthony) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and a brother Louis Nathan Ray of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Raven Wilcox, Jerrond M. Watson, Jeffery Watson, and Jasmine Watson all of Atlanta. And host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunties, family and friends. Milton, We will miss and feel the absence of your laughter, your passion for cooking, painting and mostly your presence. We will always love you and keep you forever in our hearts.
