Obituary

Butch Reynolds was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma March 29, 1942 to the late James and Leanus Reynolds and passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5th, 2018 surrounded by family and loved ones. Butch was predeceased by his two brothers, Tommy and Melvin as well as his wife of forty years, Ann Whitlock Reynolds. He is survived by their three daughters, Lisa Treme, Tammy Reynolds, Barbara Eaves (Steve), as well as six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his cousin, Ann Innocenti, as he so lovingly thought of as his sister. He also leaves behind his "lady" and "love of his life" of eleven years, Sharon. Butch attended Lowell and Central High School, remaining life long friends with his forever pal, Vernon Jones Jurney. After many different jobs, he eventually retired from PSO at which time he began a new career in the oil field as a pipeline inspector. In 2013, Butch retired a final time. He was a life-long jokester and always enjoyed making people laugh. Butch had a zest for life, was a loving father always giving time and attention to "his girls" and always saw the best in people. According to family, Butch would "give you the shirt off his back". Butch learned to play golf in his late 30s and quickly became an avid golfer, playing with the Sandblasters and at the Broken Arrow Golf and Athletic Club with his many friends including his best golfing buddy, Bill Ryan. He and Sharon enjoyed their many golf dates as well and met most weekends to swing dance and country two-step. Butch was a 32nd degree Mason at the Haskell Lodge No. 334 and enjoyed the company of his fellow members until early 2015, when he moved into an assisted living facility and began his last journey with Alzheimers Disease. We wish to thank the staff at Ambassador Manor and Hospice of Green Country for the loving care they provided. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 3515 S. Harvard, Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Green Country. Service: 01/27/2018 00:00 3:00 PM Christ United Methodist Church 3515 S. Harvard, Tulsa, OK
