Eural Blakely 94, passed away on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Eural Blakely was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 3, 1930 the fourth of six children to Leslie Marion and Etheline (Clayton) Blakely. As a young man Eural joined the military while in high school and served during the Korean war. He passed from this life at home in Beggs, Oklahoma.

In 1947 Eural met and wed the love of his life Bernice (Booker) Blakely, their union was blessed with 7 children. Eural enjoyed family and friends getting together to laugh, play cards, listen to music and DANCE! Cooking on the grill was an art form to Eural which he loved to share, and his kids and grandkids enjoyed learning from the master! An excellent story teller, Eural regaled all who would listen of his days as a young man playing on the gridiron with his brothers. A life long love of Sooner football was one he would gladly share with his children, grandchildren, friends and complete strangers alike!.

Eural professed his love for Jehovah and willingness to do His will with his baptism on December 2, 2002. He enjoyed fellowship with the friends in the Okmulgee congregation, as well as many others he met at conventions and events. The promise given in Revelations 21: 3 – 4 is one that provided great comfort to Eural as he looked forward to a pain free life.

Eural was proceeded in death by his siblings Amberscene Peacher, Dicie Johnson, Leslie Marion Blakely Jr. and Nathanial Blakley Sr. His son Melford Keith Blakely, his daughter-in-law Charlene "Ann" Blakely, and his grandson Nicholas Adam Blakely also proceeded him in death. Eural was deeply saddened by the absence of his eldest grandson Clinton Barry Blakely, and often spoke of his love for him. Along with the many friends, Eural will be missed, but remembered fondly by his last surviving sibling Annie Mae Johnson (Sylvester), along with his children: Milton Don (Charlene), Michael Stephen (Deborah), Marvin Lamar, Paula Roma Patrick (Timothy), Patrick Francis (Valerie) all of the Tulsa Metro area, and Elisa Ramona Frazier of Atlanta, Georgia. His grandchildren Farrah Lashay Blakely, Jarrett Rashawn Blakely (Iesha), Shayla Nicole Blakely, Nicholas Avery Blakely, Stephanie Camille Blakely, Jasmine Patrice, Brandie Patrice Blakely, Kassie Chiffon Viruet (Christian), Jamecia Brianne Alexander (James), Jalecia Ariane James (Darius), Paige Ladon Merrick (Victor), Jordon Ramon Frazier (Devin), and his 26 great grand children. Eural had a host of nieces and nephews who love, and will also miss him as they cherish memories made with him!
