Fletcher Eugene "Gene" Elsberry was born November 1, 1939, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2017, surrounded by his loving family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jane Elsberry and sister Dorothy Ann. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia Elsberry, sons: Brant (Carol) Elsberry and Evan (Katie) Elsberry, daughters: Kelly (Craig) Becke, Elise (Ross) Schreiner, Andrea Petit, Penny (Jason) Howell, grandchildren: Luke, Barrett, Shelby, Jake, Hannah, Zane, Emerson, Chas, Janey, Reagan, Avery, Henry, Traegar, Kennedy, Braden, Riley and Jessa. Also survived by his sister, Judy Fulfs, nephews: Erich, Ian and nieces: Vonda, Celia and Katherine. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and The Tulsa Ski Club. He was an avid supporter of the Tulsa Ski Club and held many offices including President. The Flatland Ski Association honored Gene with the 2017 Dave Vannett Trophy (The Race Directors Cup) for significant achievement of the FSA Race Week, for this award his family and friends were so proud. He was a graduate of The University of Arkansas, (Wooooooo Pig Sooie!) with a Business Administration Degree, and also The University of Tulsa with a Masters of Business Administration Degree. He was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at The University of Arkansas. "Gene" was an avid golfer, Colorado backpacker, bass fisherman, competitive snow skier, duck hunter, state champion duck caller and was extremely proud of his family. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful caregivers of our family patriarch, especially St. Francis Cancer Center, St. Francis Hospice, and certainly "Miss Rosey" and nurse Josh.
