Garlene Myers Eiceman,94 , of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on January 4,2025. She was born on August 17, 1930 in Campbell, Missouri to parents Chester and Matilda (Pace) Myers.
As a young girl, Garlene and her sisters enjoyed singing in church. She and her twin sister were in the Lilbourn High School band. She graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1948 being one of eighteen seniors in her graduating class. Later on, she and her family enjoyed spending summers at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.
As a teenager, she worked at a movie theater selling tickets and also worked at the local roller-skating rink at Lilbourn Missouri. She started working as a bank teller in Sikeston Missouri and then later continued working at a bank in St. Louis Missouri.
She traveled virtually all over the world. She always loved learning about other cultures and enjoyed the beauty of each country. She loved to read, especially history and biographies.
While living in St. Louis, she volunteered with hospice. She lived for the past two years at Bellarose Senior Living. Previously, she lived many years in Tallahassee, Florida. During her many years in Tallahassee she enjoyed many enduring friendships which greatly enriched her life.
Garlene is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ranell Myers, Bernadine Chartrau, and Charlene Robertson; brother Robert Eugene Myers; grandson Christopher Mark Eiceman; nieces Jane Ann Chartrau and Jane Michelle Robertson; and nephew Robbie Myers.
She is survived by son Mark (Kelly) Eiceman; daughter Deborah (Ken) Eiceman Smith; grandchildren Tara Konrardy, Tasha (Joe) Westbrook, Travis Schwieder, and Jessica (Joel) Hornstien; great grandchildren Caleb Konrardy, Hailey Hornstien, Myles Westbrook, Claire Hornstien, Vivian Konrardy and Henry Christopher Eiceman; nephews Scott Allen Chartrau, Harold David Chartrau, and Doug Robertson; and niece Vicki Myers.
