Gary Alexander, 70, ended a hard fought battle with Glioblastoma Cancer and transitioned into the loving arms of God on Monday, February 2, 2026 with his husband, Jeff at his side.
Born in Tulsa, July 22nd , 1955, Gary lived in several cities while growing up as his
Father was a Naval Aviator for the Marines and a pilot for American Airlines. After his Father's passing, the family moved back to Tulsa where Gary attended Memorial High School. After graduation he attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business. Gary married after college and had two beautiful daughters.
Gary was a pharmaceutical representative for a major drug company for many years and later became the office manager at a Tulsa Law Firm. He retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2022.
Gary's foremost love was for his family. He was so proud of his daughters and the families they had formed. He loved his grandchildren so much and was active in their lives. Gary served there as the Sacristan and the head of the Altar Guild overseeing the training of new Altar Guild members for many years. More recently, he was excited to join the Altar Guild at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church in Tulsa where they began attending several years ago. Gary also had a love for theater where he stage managed many productions over the years and especially enjoyed the ones in which his oldest daughter participated. Later, because of their mutual love of theater, Jeff and Gary would make over 20 trips to New York City where they would enjoy countless Broadway shows including attending the Tony Awards five times.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Beverly Alexander.
