Passed away on January 27, 2018. Gary was born in Saint Joseph, MO to Perry and Mary Knight on September 21, 1941. He married the love of his life, Connie on July 28, 1962. Gary was a member of the Owasso Masonic Lodge #545 for over 40 years until he moved to Coweta in 2007 where he was a member of the Coweta Lodge #251. He also enjoyed many years with the Akdar Shriners. Gary retired from American Airlines in 2003 after 25 years of dedicated service. After retirement Gary enjoyed fishing in his boat he named 'The Min-Pin'. After enjoying some rest and time off he decided he wanted to go back to work. He worked for several more years at O'Reilly's and Auto Zone until his health began to fail. Gary loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Perry and Mary Knight and grandson Cody Young. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Connie; daughter: Angie and her husband Gerald of Tulsa; son: Richard and his wife Virginia of Broken Arrow; grandchildren: Chelsea, Allison and Alex; great grandchildren: Houston and Vivi and many more family and friends. A Masonic service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2:00pm at The Akdar Shrine Temple, 2808 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa, OK 74129. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in loving memory of Gary Knight, to The Akdar Hospital Transportation Fund (akdarshrine.org) or Masonic Lodge.
