George Benton O'Banion passed from this realm into the Multiverse on March 31, 2022, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. George Benton was born on December 26, 1999, because he "didn't want to steal the thunder from Jesus"; to Kate Alden and his older sister, Eryn Delaney O'Banion. He was lucky enough to have two dads- John Delaney O'Banion and Jeff Riley. No, his dads weren't a couple; his mom just wanted to make sure he had his bases covered. After his father Delaney passed, Benton gained his bonus parent, Te, whom he loved very much. He was affectionately known as Wingnut, Buck, B, a later on went by Georgie. In his 22 years Earth-side, he lived so much. He had an impeccable taste in movies from a young age. He could quote the entire script of Bad Boys 2 by the time he was only four years old. He attended Dewey Elementary where he did 4H, raised "pain in the ass" goats, and was the highly esteemed class clown- not the bad kind of class clown that threw desks but the sweet one that always had some smart-ass comeback to say. Even as a kid, he really enjoyed golfing and playing chess and won several competitions in both, which was a testament to his old soul. At the age of ten, he moved to Honduras and despite only living there a short time, he considered it his home away from home. Even though he did not know any spanish at first, B instantly struck up life-long friendships with everyone around him; there were countless hours in the jungle engaged in hard-core nerf wars with friends. During his time in Honduras, he attended homeschool and was the top of his class for two consecutive years. He was baptized in Rio Bambu, in October 2011, by Pastor Richard of Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and his grandpa, John Alden. It is important to note that while he was baptized by the Presbyterian church, he held a Pantheist view on spirituality and believed heavily in reincarnation. Upon returning to the United States, George Benton wanted only the finest education, attended Bartlesville Mid-High, Mingo Valley, Dove Science Academy, and then proceeded to graduate from Tulsa Tech in 2019. He achieved his dream career of being an IATSE set medic, where he spent the majority of the pandemic swabbing Hollywood's elite for COVID and yelling at people to "put on their damn masks." Benton took great pride in his job but loved caring for the film community even more. He once offered to swab Morgan Freeman anally instead of the "ol' traditional nasal route", to which Morgan happily obliged by swinging his legs up in the air and saying, "Let's do it". Benton spent most of his free time covering his body in badass tattoos, building intricate Lego sets, re-watching every superhero movie until he could quote them in entirety, and jamming out to Smashing Pumpkins, Flatbush Zombies, and Nirvana. He had an expansive record collection with all the classics and then some. Benton's pride and joy were his sons, Buck and Steve, who were disadvantaged youths that he rescued from the streets on his way to work one day. He loved those dogs more than most people love their children. Benton was also extremely blessed to have met his soulmate, Tracie, once again in this life. He swore they had been lovers for many lifetimes and this one was no exception. He loved hot moms, but she was his all time favorite. George Benton O'Banion was a ray of sunshine anywhere he went and was loved by everyone he encountered in this part of his journey. He leaves behind an unforgettable legacy and his energy continues to be felt by those who knew and loved him. He is proceeded in death by his dad, John Delaney O'Banion. He is survived by his sons, Buck and Steve; his significant other, Tracie Ballou; his mother, Kate Alden; his bonus parent, Te Muskrat Flournoy; his sister, Eryn O'Banion; his dad, Jeff Riley; his grandparents John and Penny Alden, his grandma Salley Storey… yada yada yada.
